Recently, we had the pleasure of servicing a Holden VE Commodore, a vehicle renowned for its performance and reliability. However, like many vehicles, it required some expert attention to restore its former glory. This case study outlines the steps we took to address the issues and highlights the transformative results achieved.

The Holden VE Commodore, along with other vehicles such as later model Ford Falcons and Territory's, features a sophisticated rear suspension and subframe design. This setup utilises multiple suspension arms and rubber bushings to ensure a smooth ride and optimal handling. However, over time, these components can wear out, leading to a range of issues.

Our customer brought in their VE Commodore, expressing concerns about vibrations, suspension knocks, and poor handling at speed. These symptoms indicated potential problems within the rear suspension system, warranting a thorough inspection.

During our inspection, we discovered that nearly all the bushes in the rear subframe, which are crucial for mounting the rear suspension to the vehicle, had cracked and failed.
