In extreme cases, as observed in this Triton, there can be no clearance at all, or worse, the valve might remain open. This loss of clearance adversely affects the vehicle’s compression, starting ability, engine performance, and can even increase fuel consumption, risking irreparable damage to the valve train components.

Cracked and Failed Bushes: The rubber bushings responsible for dampening vibrations and providing a smooth ride were significantly deteriorated.
